Rowland Trucking Company, Inc. was founded in 1971 in Houston, Texas.  During this time the company's direction was to provide local cartage throughout the Houston area. In 1974 Mr. Rowland expanded into intermodal trucking for various steamship lines and railroads in the Houston area. In 1979 NYK Steamship Line approached Mr. Rowland with the concept of handling their container yard services.  With no experience in this area NYK provided the equipment and expertise for handling typical CY services including Maintenance & Repair.  With this new service the next company to be formed was WWinners Container Service, there by establishing the beginning of The Rowland Group. For the last 35 years W.W. Rowland Trucking and WWinners Container Services have been one of the largest if not the largest container yard/trucking company in the steamship line industry in the Houston area. W.W.
